slide mountain, mt rose from Reno:

395 south exit onto north tahoe (431) west turn left at the mt. rose east bowl parking lot, follow road up to launch.

to lz- 395 south to washoe valley, turn right at bowers mansion turn around and go straight across high way, to a turnout.
